We stepped off the plane onto the Osa Peninsula We didn't think about the states once! Much cooler at Blondies Lapas home Rental than down on the beach. Our time spent together in Costa Rica on the Osa was to precious. Their place was perfect, car arrangements were made for us by Blondie and before we knew it we were on to the hunt for the treehouse thru the jungle! Followed the map provided to us by owners,and were pleasantly surprised to find there were no problems getting there! Wow ! The Lapas Home and house was amazing as the caretaker took us through the garden w/ or luggage to reveal our much anticipated 1st view of this amazing home with pool !We spent the first nights listening to the rain and the sounds of the jungle,
I must admit we all expected to see more of the Osa than we did in 9 days. But,we found ourselves spending most of our time in the house. It is so unique, we saw no reason to spend most of our day driving to Corcovado National Park and back to see what was happening in our own backyard. We did spend a good amount of time traveling south past Puerto Jimenez down toward the beaches. I think we made it a little past Matapalo beach but the road gets pretty tough and slow going after that.It was a convenient stop on the way home everyday to stop in town and p/u supplies,(the essentials like food,ice,and rum).The kitchen is fully equipt and we usually cooked breakfast and dinner there.
It is safe to say that this eco jungle adventure "paradise" , it is not for everyone,but if your the adventurous type,and you don't mind a few bugs,and sharing your house w/a few tree frogs,then you probably fit the bill. No matter what kind of trinkets we brought back,the memories we made while staying at the treehouse were the best thing of all and none of us will ever forget that.How lucky we feel to have had the opportunity to live in the jungle,if only for a short time. We are stoked we stayed at lapas Home vacation rental vs. those ecolodges or crowded resorts on beach, like our family did last year. Lapas Home rentals are more fun and privte. Blondie - Good Job on all the eco tours you booked for my family. Zip Line was the best !

Luxury vacation travel and reviews in southern zone of Costa Rica. Just like my first Disney vacation when I was in Florida at Disney world. Costa Ricas best bird watching spot for sure! 50' up in the canopy, awesome!

I don't even know where to begin. First, something you'd see on The Green Travel Channel or National Geographic.
Waking up in the morning with the squirrel monkeys climbing by is just awesome. Having a cup of joe in the rainforest canopy overlooking Corcovado is just incredible. No detail has been left out of the house and it has everything you need, Going to bed at night listening to the pleasant sounds of the rainforest is one of the greatest experiences ever. Our Lapa's Vacation aventure home had 2-3 levels with lots of places to explore. Being high up in the tree with the birds and monkeys is a completely different perspective than being on the ground. One awesome place!

On a jungle walk with Michael we find out all kinds of amazing things. Take the hummingbird beetle, for example. Okay, you get the idea. We loved our Lapas Home vacation rental it was a trip with great memories, enough to last a life time.

Southern Costa Rica is the best and a great Alternative to Staying at ecolodges Resorts Avoid crowded Hotels....a great alternative to staying at eco-lodges on the Osa Peninsula.
